Terms of Service

velith is operated by Velith (Seoul, Republic of Korea). Self-hosted installs are operated by whoever runs the server; these terms then apply between you and that operator.

1. The service

velith turns notes you write into long-form artifacts — reports, books, newsletters. Notes are automatically classified into (genre, topic) buckets; when a bucket crosses a threshold you configure, the engine generates an artifact without further input from you.

velith runs on a server. The hosted service is operated by Velith ("we", "our", "us"); a self-hosted install is operated by whoever runs it. These terms apply between you and the operator of the server you use.

2. Your account

Access is authenticated with an API key. Keep it secret — anyone holding it can read and write your content. You are responsible for activity performed with your key, and you can revoke it by signing out or issuing a new one.

3. Plans, quotas and billing

The free plan includes 3 generated artifacts at sign-up; Pro lifts the cap at ₩9,900/month in Korea or US$9.9/month elsewhere. Payments are processed by a payment provider, not by velith: PortOne for purchases made from Korea and Stripe elsewhere. velith never sees or stores your card details. Model usage is billed to your own provider account through the key you register, and is not part of the velith fee.

4. Your content

You keep all rights to the notes you submit and the artifacts generated from them. You grant the operator only the permission needed to run the service: storing your notes, classifying them, sending relevant excerpts to the configured AI provider, and returning the result to you.

5. AI-generated output

Artifacts are produced by a language model. Output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or resemble existing works. Review anything before you rely on it or publish it. You are responsible for what you do with generated content, including any copyright, defamation or regulatory consequences.

6. Acceptable use

Do not use velith to create or store content that is unlawful, that infringes someone else's rights, or that you do not have the right to process. Do not share or transfer your API key, reverse-engineer or bulk-scrape the service, or attempt to break, overload, or gain unauthorized access to it.

7. Availability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". No uptime is guaranteed, and features may change or be withdrawn. Material changes are announced in advance.

8. Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel at any time in the app or by emailing hello@velith.kr. Within 7 days of a paid charge, and where the service has not been started, you may withdraw the purchase under Korean e-commerce law. Where artifacts have already been generated, the used portion is settled and the balance refunded.

9. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the operator is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or lost data. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Self-hosting

velith is distributed under Apache-2.0 and you may run it yourself. On a self-hosted install the operator is whoever runs that server, your data is never sent to Velith, and Velith is not responsible for that deployment's operation, security or data handling.

11. Changes

These terms may be updated. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

12. Contact and governing law
